No, that is not a lemon! An
"interview"
with
Jenny
Toomey

The interviewee, with one of God's creatures When Jenny Toomey mailed me after receiving my questions, asking if I minded waiting a week for the response, it was an understandable request. Between leading Tsunami, and co-running the Simple Machines label, and eating and sleeping and other somewhat frivolous things (never mind her place in Liquorice and Grenadine), I was surprised she actually granted my request - on top of all that, she was going back on the road with Tsunami in a few short weeks, with the itinerary littered with TBAs (the majority of those having been filled, thankfully).

The return mail was full of surprises, most along the lines of this cheekily veiled threat -

"Hey, here it is. I hope it's not too argumentative. You asked for it. Thanks for asking."
The entire questionnaire is reprinted, covering topics from popular culture to the DC music scene to the future of Simple Machines to musical pigeonholing (a topic where I deservedly take it on the chin) to Zora Neale Hurston and letter pressing. Oh, and that new Tsunami record, too. The questions are in bold-faced Tahoma (with the big dots next to them), the answers are in Arial.
